The beautiful hand-carved Sheesham chairs shown below, were on display at the Navi Mumbai Arts Festival 2013 held at Urban Haat in CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai from 24th to 28th Jan-2013.

These royal looking carved Sheesham chairs were for sale at the Arts festival in Navi Mumbai.

There were lots of other pieces of Sheesham wood furniture on display at the exhibit. Below this post I am giving more links so that you can take a look at those other furniture items too.

Sheesham Chair and Jhula
And here's another type of Sheesham chair on display. The garden jhula seen in the background also does look inviting.

I did not probe for the cost of these chairs, however noticed that the prices were comparable with the rates of solid teak wood furniture that we see elsewhere in the furniture shops.

And here's another close-up photo of that Sheesham wood chair shown above.

Sheesham wood equates to Indian Rose wood, and its a reputed timber that is used in the making of solid wood furniture for the Indian as well as overseas markets.

And the ones above are all hand-carved masterpieces. Move aside plywood, MDF and particle boards.
